Why Richmond Needs You

Richmond is home and Richmonders are family.

Even when we don’t know everyone down the street and on the other side of town, we are all connected. We have a shared interest and a shared responsibility to each other. We all benefit when area neighborhoods are well kept and safe, when businesses around the corner or around the city are thriving, and when organizations that serve our community’s social needs are able to focus more on their mission than on infrastructure.

Full name, date of birth, and emergency contact info are required by insurance before participating in projects. Please use the form below to supply such info.

Generally, all those age 8 and older and in good health appropriate to the environment and tasks of a project are welcome to volunteer. Minors through grade 5 must have parental supervision. Middle and high schoolers may participate with parental permission. Volunteers should expect to provide or arrange for their own transportation unless stated otherwise for a project.

Other requirements, recommendations, and behavior etiquette may vary by project. Volunteers should review the details of each project before committing to help. If uncertain of a project, please use the Contact Us form to ask questions.
