Neighbors Building A Better Richmond

We love all that Richmond has to offer, and we want to provide Richmond some love. It’s a beautiful city large enough to be blessed with diversity in many ways, but not so big to be overwhelming. Here, neighbors matter, so we’re embarking on a summer of vision and mission to lift them up.

The Projects

Two Saturdays. Two big projects. Two hundred volunteers…maybe more.

There are over a dozen LiftUp RVA projects happening this summer, and there are two major events that need one hundred volunteers each.

East End Cemetery Restoration

Saturday, July 14th 9am – 4pm

Help reverse decades of neglect by clearing overgrown vegetation hiding an estimated sixty thousand graves.

Quioccasin Middle School

Saturday, August 4th (10am – 2pm)

Upon completion of this project, there will be increased seating for outdoor events and athletics.

Be one of over 500 local volunteers

An estimated 500+ volunteers are needed over a dozen projects to benefit various neighborhoods of Richmond. We would love for you to be a part of the outreach.

Be one of over 500 financial donors

An estimated $25,000 is necessary to fund the many projects of LiftUp RVA 2018. From building supplies to landscaping tools, transporting large groups of volunteers to feeding them; all it takes is for 500 donors to give just $50. Every gift is welcome and appreciated!

It all began...

July 2016, as the youth of West Assembly of God (WEAG) church in Richmond gave a week of their summer to benefit others. They helped launch a new thrift store that supports missions. They landscaped yards, restored a city park, and painted houses and the offices of non-profits.

In July 2017...

The work, dedication, and sacrifice of WEAG’s youth benefited our neighbors once again. In the second annual LiftUp RVA, the youth again helped with landscaping and painting. They also restored a playground at an inner city school for literacy, and they helped build access ramps.

Now in 2018, you're invited...

To join the spirit of the past two years and hundreds of volunteers from WEAG to bless individuals and communities in need of assistance.
